We are about the community,
our environment, and all things
created by the warmth of our hands.

In many cultures all over the world, tea is the mechanism at which we welcome people into our homes or start a conversation with strangers. Here at teakha, we too believe that tea is a window to opening our hearts. Through this window, we welcome you into our “home”, to experience a lifestyle that is in touch with our community and our environment. One that values the little joys in life as homemade cakes, the sound of music lingering in a back alley, or ever so basically, the forgotten art of talking to our neighbours.

Through a cup of tea,
you see the world.

Tea is an art form. From the pouring of water, the delicate scent that follows to the gentle unraveling of tea leaves in the brew… in every process there is a truth, and in every tea a story. When you hold your cup and allow your mind to fall still, the tea speaks to you.

At teakha, we sell only the best single-origin teas sourced by our sister company Plantation directly from small tea plantations. The teas are then either cooked to perfection with milk in a pot or brewed.

“No sooner had the warm liquid mixed with the crumbs touched my palate than a shudder ran through me and I stopped, intent upon the extraordinary thing that was happening to me.”

~ Marcel Proust

teakha cakes are humble, simple cakes made from seasonal ingredients locally sourced and very often, made from old recipe books dug up from our mothers’ kitchen cabinets and inspired by local delicacies. Because eating is also about our collective memories…
